I think the United States going to Iraq is a form of a witch hunt. We first only went over there to find Saddam Hussein. We however have found him, and caught him yet we continually keep sending our men over seas to fight, and for what? Why have we taken it upon ourselves to fix there country and control there people. The United States would not allow that if such country would come here and try to do the same to us. I think the United States is going after Iraq's and innocent people either our own soldiers or Iraq's (women and children and good people) are getting killed. The United States can simply end this "witch hunt" by resolving the problem and bringing all of our men home and let Iraq solve there own problems and become there own country not one identical to ours.

I don't think it is so much a witch hunt against the men and women of Middle East, so much as it is the struggle for oil from foreign oil companies. I don't think Osama Bin Laden has been caught yet-that is one conspiracy to think about though.
First of all, I don't think we have caught Osama Bin Laden yet...maybe you are thinking of Saddam Hussein...but I agree that us sending troops over there is an example of a witch hunt. The war has gone on long enough and now, I agree, that they are witch hunting the Iraqi people.
Well, first of all, Osama Bin Laden hasn't been captured...maybe you're thinkin of Saddam Hussein?? But anyway, this could go into a politcal debate, but that's not what this blog is for. It could be considered a witch hunt in the fact that we end up discriminating against those people, but we're mainly in Iraq for governmental reasons. But I do agree that if you considered it a witch hunt, you could at least end it in Iraq by bringing men back from there. But i don't think that would end the discrimination here in America.
I really don't think that having our troops going over to Iraq is a witch hunt because we aren't going over there to try to kill anyone on purpose we are just trying to help them out. The troops are there is get Iraq back on the right track on becoming a successful country.
I can see where you look at the war as a witch hunt, but I don't completely agree with it. I'm not going to rant and rave about how we shouldn't be over in Iraq...blah, blah, blah, that's not what this is for. I agree with Becca on how we are at some points discriminating against certain people, but I dont see this as a full fled witch hunt.
I don't think this is a witchhunt. USA only went to Iraq for their oil and to see if they could find "weapons of mass destruction," which I don't think exist over there. We're not killing people for their beliefs, so this really wouldn't be a witchhunt.
How is this a witch hunt? We aren't really persecuting the Iraqis for there beliefs no matter how radical they are. We are more or less persecuting them for there actions.
Totally agree with kate. But it does have a few things in common with a witch hunt. Hysteria, mob thinking, scapegoat, people dies. Except, if this is a witch hunt, they kind of deserve it. They did suicide bomb a plane into america. Unfortunately, innocent people are also a cost of war. A gruesome, ucky, not fair part, but still a part.
I don't think is a witch hunt. We wouldn't be still in the war if George W. Bush wasn't president. All he is doing is trying to finish what his dad started. I am ready for this war to be over with and maybe we should just bomb like over in Japan.
I don’t think this is a witch hunt because we are only over there to help their government. Many innocent people are dying because they are in the wrong place at the wrong time. But we aren’t killing them because of race or beliefs.
I don't think that this is a type of witch hunt. We went over to Iraq for other reasons than just to find Osama bin Laden. I also don't think that we have caught Osama bin Laden.
I think it is considered a witch hunt because of the fact that some people in the U.S. don't accept people from the Middle East living here. Most people that think this are considering these specific people to be involved with terroism. This is a large stereotype, but just because they are from the Middle East, doesn't mean they are terroists. Who knows, there might be a white person who associates with Al Quida. Jamie Werner
To me, this is not a witch hunt. Yes, I think we should hurry it up and get out of there soon, but we couldn't just abondon Iraq once we destroyed their government! They needed us to help set them up with a proper government, or their old one would have just come back into play and the whole thing could start over.
I don't know much about this being a witchhunt...I don't really keep track of what stupid government people do, though. But from what I've heard, we're trying to help Iraq build itself back up, right?
I can see how this is a witch hunt, with the US troops over in Iraq, and it is causing the US to have more hatred of the Iraqi's. But I don't know much of what is going on over there, because I don't really keep up with it.
I highly doubt that there is only one reason that we are still fighting in Iraq. For one thing now that we are in there it will be very difficult to get out without having to go back in in the future to finish what we started. This is an interesting view of a witch hunt though.
I don't think this is a witchhunt. USA only went to Iraq for their oil and to see if they could find weapons of mass destruction.
Is Osama still alive. We have no idea but lets keep a bunch of troops over there and get some people killed. Great idea...not. A witch hunt against the middle-eastern people.
I don't believe that happens often if at all and I think that it has nothing to do with a witchhunt.
